The OptiX BWS 1600G Backbone DWDM Optical Transmission System features high speed and large capacity. It is mainly used in national backbone or provincial backbone for long distance and high capacity transmission.
The OptiX BWS 1600G connects to the optical switching equipment, Metro DWDM equipment, SDH equipment, or router in an optical network. Currently, the OptiX BWS 1600G can multiplex a maximum of 192 wavelengths into a single optical fiber. That is, the OptiX BWS 1600G is able to transmit 192 wavelengths at the same time. The maximum rate for each wavelength is 10 Gbit/s. A pair of fibers provides the maximum total transmission capacity of 1920 Gbit/s in two directions. The maximum rate of one wavelength can reach 40 Gbit/s.
The system can access services of different types by different optical transponder units (OTUs).
