How to Replace an SCC Board of Huawei OptiX OSN 9800

Hongtelecom equipment service Limited ( Hong Telecom ) would like to show you : how to Replace an SCC Board of Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 . ( Take TN52SCC for an example ) Setting the Jumper on the SCC This topic describes how to set the battery jumpers and BIOS jumpers on the spare SCC board before replacing the SCC board. The battery jumpers on the SCC help ensure that the configuration is maintained upon a power failure of the SCC. If the board is in use, place a jumper cap over the battery jumper to make a short circuit, which allows the battery to supply power normally. The BIOS jumpers help clear the system parameter area and database in the flash memory on the SCC board.  Figure 1  shows the functions of the BIOS jumpers. Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 OTM Node Configuration

Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 OTM Nodes apply to terminal sites. An OTM node can be either an 80-wavelength or a 40-wavelength system. 80-wavelength system: When serving as an 80-wavelength system, an OTM node optical multiplexer, demultiplexer, and ITL boards. The OTM node can be expanded to provision 80 wavelengths without interrupting services. 40-wavelength system: When serving as a 40-wavelength system, an OTM node optical multiplexer and demultiplexer boards. The OTM node can be expanded to provision 40 wavelengths without interrupting services. Signal Flow In the receive direction: The line signal received from west is separated into an optical supervisory signal and a main-path optical signal. The optical supervisory signal is sent to the optical supervisory channel (OSC) board for processing, and the main-path optical signal is sent to an amplifier board for amplification. The ITL board splits the amplified main-path optical signal into a C_EVEN multiplexed ...
