Blade server E6000 Fan Module introduce

The E6000 houses a maximum of nine fan modules configured in N+1 redundancy mode. After one fan is faulty, the other fans dissipate heat for the entire system properly. The fan speed can be automatically adjusted based on the operating temperature of the server blades in the shelf, implementing intelligent heat-dissipation.

 The E6000 adopts the forced air-cooling technology and the design of front-to-rear ventilation channels. That is, the E6000 draws air in at the front and exhausts air at the rear, providing a cooling capacity of 400 W for the server blade in each slot.

 Nine fan modules are numbered from left to right and from top to bottom.


Fan modules dissipate heat for server blades based on areas:

  *  Fan modules 1, 4, and 7 dissipate heat for server blades in slots 8, 9, and 10.
  *  Fan modules 2, 5, and 8 dissipate heat for server blades in slots 4, 5, 6, and 7.
  *  Fan modules 3, 6, and 9 dissipate heat for server blades in slots 1, 2, and 3.

When fan modules are not fully configured, install them evenly based on the configured server blades.

NOTE:
When the chassis backplane is the E6000H , the fan indicator is effective. When the chassis backplane is the E6000 , the fan indicator is ineffective.
